 Nach der famosen CD-Trilogie, jetzt endlich auch mal was auf Vinyl in Form von 5 neuen Stücken auf einer EP. Der Titelsong ist ein echter Underground-Pop Hit, irgendwo zwischen THE CURE und DER PLAN, mit großartigem Text. Die 4 anderen Stücke sind teilweise etwas "experimenteller" angehaucht (im Sinne der Früh-80er Kassettentäter), aber nicht weniger unterhaltsam und spannend! Produziert von PYROLATOR im ATA TAK Studio.

 Fourth CD, 10 tracks with a full playing-time of 47 minute. In a kind of retro-futurism Stephan Mensger aka FREISPIEL explores and interpretes the Elektronic Music from the 70s to 90s. An hommage and tribute to the "Berlin School" (Klaus Schulze, Edgar Froese, Ash Ra Tempel, Harmonia, etc.). At times orchestral, sometimes joyful, then contemplative and cosmic, lush and harmonic. FREISPIEL- Nonsens Konsens - CD - FIDEL BASTRO
 Wieder nur eine CD und kein Vinyl, und wer braucht schon CDs heutzutage.... Einerseits. Aber andererseits: Wo hat man so was schon mal gehört? Musikalisch wird das Rad zwar nicht neu erfunden, dafür gibt's aber BLUMFELD oder TOCOTRONIC Verwandtes ohne Klugscheisserei und Wichtigtuerei, mit einer enorm souveränen Eleganz. Inhaltlich und textlich Politkunst und Sozialkritik, ohne jegliche Griesgrämigkeit, sondern mit einer lässigen Coolness. Wer noch Geld für CDs ausgibt, sollte sich den selbst Gefallen tun und eine FREISPIEL CD kaufen... Entweder diese neue, oder genausogut den Vorgänger "Degeneration Deluxe". Wenn's um kritischen deutschen Pop/Indie-Rock/Post-Punk geht, würde mir nichts und niemand einfallen der aktuell Besseres als FREISPIEL zu bieten hat.

 The 5th album now. While last years "Introversion" CD was more in an experimental Kraut-Rock vein, this one is again more into the Synth-Pop, New Wave and Indie-Rock mix, somewhere in between KRAFTWERK and THE CURE.  Inzwischen schon die sechste CD (8 Songs/43 Minuten) innerhalb von sechs Jahren von Stephan Mensger alias FREISPIEL. Der Mann scheint eine unerschöpfliche Kreativität zu haben. Auch auf diesem Album gelingt es ihm seinen Sound erneut zu variieren. Eine Melange aus experimentellem Rock (z.T. Krautrock à la CAN) und fast schon sakral anmutenden Mantra-Klängen.

 Project of two Hamburg Punk veterans: Ulrich Mevs (sounds & production), member of SCREAMER, one of the very first Hamburg Hardcore-Punk bands, and Rudolf Raschberger (guitars & voices), formerly in C³I, SHEEP ON A TREE, and more. But their music has nothng to do with old-fashioned Punk-Rock. It's more like a 71 minutes lasting soundtrack to an imaginary movie. A combination of digital soundscapes with analog instruments, explorations of experimental music, stepping into ambient drones.
