BAKTERIE- Wenn Die Dummheit Nicht Wäre... - LP(COL.)
 Erste LP einer Punk-Band aus Duisburg. Selbstveröffentlicht in einer Auflage von 300 Stück auf grau-weiß-marmoriertem Vinyl, inklusive bedruckter Innenhülle. Der positive erste Eindruck bestätigt sich dann auch beim hören: Pralle 14 Songs mit smarten und intelligenten deutschen Texte zu kraftvollem Hardcore-Punk. Erinnert teilweise an Übersee-Hardcore Bands der frühen 80er wie D.O.A. oder TOXIC REASONS, bzw. diverse erste deutsche Bands die damals den Schritt vom Schrammelpunk zur härteren Gangart wagten. Das mag anachronistisch wirken, besticht aber durch die überzeugende Umsetzung.

 Supercatchy Japanese style Pop-Punk, taking you away from the very first second. A killer album raging thru' 14 songs. I'm not an expert in the "Pop-Punk" genre, but this one's pretty cool, sounding to me like a japanese modified frantic Whirlwind-Hardcore version of the TOY DOLLS. Limited edition on blue vinyl.

BASIC SHAPES- Vertical Being - 10" - POLAKS RECORDS
 First release by this band from Montreuil/France. Contains 6 songs of bouncing and anthemic Punk-Rock. Reminds me a lot of late 70s UK-Punk in the vein of bands like the CORTINAS, CHELSEA, GENERATION X, and the likes... Despite being from the Parisian suburbs, these guys sound very british.

 First full album by this band from Warsaw (obviously). Alternative Rock, who's sound seems to be equally influenced by mid-period era of Dischord (Shudder To Think, Fugazi) and Sub Pop's Grunge-era (in the mid-90s). 8 songs, delivered in an impressively energetic sound!
