 6 songs by Johnny King (singer of the HIGH QUALITY GIRLS and keyboarder with FROEBE). Brilliant Minimal-/Electronica-Pop, reminiscent of german artists like Andreas Dorau or DER PLAN! Don't know much (or anything at all) about John Bruninski, but his 5 tracks on the other side compliment Johnny’s side pretty well!

JOHN PAUL- No Filter - CD - HARBINGER SOUND
 Jason Williamson says this LP "is the rightful extension of the SLEAFORD MODS idea, but don't let that drive you into thinking this is some rehash". For sure there are parallels: A duo featuring John Paul Heggerty's rants and lyrical approach, his cynical observations put into slam-poetry wordplay, in a similar vein as Jason Williamson. Musically backed by the sounds and samples of Ratman (who released some records in the 90s on Bristol based trip-hop label CUP OF TEA RECORDS), and with more resemblance to the british Grime or Two Step styles, than to the SLEAFORD MODS... 9 tracks on this LP, and with "This Is England" it contains a riposte to the CHILDISH GAMBINO mega-hit.
